A mirrored mountain cabin immersed in nature

Step inside The Den, a one-of-a-kind mirrored cabin tucked into the mountains of western North Carolina. Created by the founders of Black Fox Cabins, this intimate retreat was designed specifically for couples seeking privacy, connection, and a slower pace.

Surrounded by forest and mountain views, The Den blends thoughtful architecture, minimalist design, and immersive nature into a romantic escape made for quiet mornings, sunset evenings, and time spent together.

The story of the space

After creating their original handcrafted cabin, Jessica and her husband wanted to design something even more intimate — a retreat built entirely around the experience of two people reconnecting.

The result was The Den.

Its mirrored exterior reflects the surrounding trees, sky, and changing mountain light, allowing the cabin to nearly disappear into the landscape.

Inside, every detail has been carefully considered. The compact design creates a warm, cozy atmosphere with a private sauna, hot tub, fire pit, and spaces designed for slowing down together.

The Den proves that luxury isn’t measured by size — it’s created through intention.

Why Locèlle loves it

  • A retreat made for couples. Every detail, from the intimate layout to the private amenities, was designed around reconnecting and spending meaningful time together.
  • Architecture that blends into nature. The mirrored exterior transforms the surrounding landscape into part of the experience.
  • Small but unforgettable. The Den shows how thoughtful design can create a sense of luxury without excess.
  • A true mountain escape. Explore the Blue Ridge Mountains by day, then return for sunset views, fireside evenings, and stargazing.

Who it’s for

The Den is for couples celebrating something special, planning a romantic getaway, or simply looking for time away from everyday distractions.

It’s a place for slow mornings, long conversations, and remembering what it feels like to truly disconnect together.
