The Hollow Sky House
Hollow Sky: A Hillside Retreat Shaped by Light
Step inside Hollow Sky, a contemporary retreat set across 110 acres in Preston Hollow, New York, where architecture, light, and landscape come together.
Designed in 1982 to follow the natural shape of the hillside, the home opens through expansive walls of glass to sweeping Catskills views. Morning fog rises through the valley, sunlight moves across the rooms, and the landscape shifts color throughout the day.
Outside, discover open fields, woods, a century-old apple orchard, three koi ponds, and plenty of space to wander. Inside, thoughtful design, warm spaces, a fireplace, hot tub, Sonos, and smart TVs make it easy to settle in.
Todd Hali thoughtfully restored the home while preserving its original character and connection to the land.

A Catskills retreat with a story to tell
Hollow Sky is more than a contemporary retreat in the Catskills. Set across 110 private acres in Preston Hollow, the home brings together thoughtful architecture, expansive mountain views, and a deeply personal family history. Inherited by Todd from the uncle who helped shape his childhood, the property has been carefully restored while preserving the land, architecture, and traditions that made it meaningful.
